2D/3D digital radiology
Accurate diagnoses with low-dose digital radiology: X-rays and cone beam CT scans right here at the clinic.

Digital radiology allows accurate diagnoses directly at the clinic, with 2D X-rays and 3D cone beam CT (CBCT) at a low radiation dose and with immediate results. 3D images are essential for safely planning implants, surgery and endodontics. Having radiology in-house means faster diagnoses and fewer trips for the patient.
Digital images in seconds
Digital radiology replaces old film with digital sensors: immediate, sharp images with a reduced radiation dose. The results are visible right away on screen, and we can show and explain them to you during the same visit.
3D cone beam CT (CBCT)
Cone beam CT reconstructs the bone and anatomical structures of the mouth in three dimensions. Unlike a traditional X-ray, it shows volume, thickness and the relationship with nerves and the maxillary sinuses: decisive information for planning procedures precisely.
What it is for and when it is used
Digital radiology is the foundation of everyday diagnosis: it detects cavities, assesses the condition of the bone and roots, and supports endodontics and periodontics. 3D CBCT in particular is essential for planning implants, surgery, complex extractions and bone grafts.
Types of dental X-rays
At the clinic we take intraoral X-rays, which show one or a few teeth in detail, and the panoramic X-ray (OPG), which gives an overall view of the dental arches, the jaw joints and the maxillary sinuses. These are complemented by cone beam CT for three-dimensional imaging. The choice of exam depends on what needs to be assessed.
Radiology for children
In younger patients too, X-rays are taken only when truly useful and with the minimum necessary dose. When indicated, X-rays help find hidden cavities between the teeth and monitor the development of the permanent teeth.
Low dose and safety
Modern digital equipment works with radiation doses considerably lower than in the past. Even so, every exam is prescribed only when clinically useful, according to the principle of justification: the right exam, at the right time, with the minimum necessary dose.
The advantage of having it in-house
Having radiology right at the clinic means faster diagnoses, no referrals to other centers and a more convenient process for you. The images remain available in your records and are immediately integrated into treatment planning. This is especially helpful in an emergency, when a quick diagnosis is needed to decide how to proceed.

Frequently asked questions
Is a dental CT scan dangerous?
Modern digital equipment works with very low radiation doses. Each exam is performed only when clinically useful, with the minimum necessary dose.
Why is 3D imaging needed for implants?
Cone beam CT shows the volume and thickness of the bone and its relationship with nerves and the maxillary sinuses: essential information for placing implants precisely and safely.
Can X-rays be taken during pregnancy?
During pregnancy, X-rays are taken only if strictly necessary and with the appropriate precautions. It is always important to tell us about a pregnancy, even if it is only suspected.
Are the results available right away?
Yes: digital images are immediate, and we can show them to you and discuss them during the same visit.
Should I bring X-rays taken elsewhere?
If you have recent ones, bringing them is helpful to avoid unnecessary exams. In any case, we can perform the necessary exams at the clinic when up-to-date images are needed.
